Ferrari has unveiled their new car, the F2012, via their website. Though the initial planning was to reveal the car in their headquarters in Maranello, the team decided to do it online as Italy is suffering from heavy snowfall.
The 2012 car has heavily sculpted sidepods and a double air-intake. Its nose is similar in style to the heavily criticized one from Caterham’s car. The team stated that they have taken more risks in the design of the F2012 without paying much attention to what it looks like. Team Principal Stefano Domenicali said that looks are not important, he is just hoping the car proves to be really competitive.
Driver Felipe Massa commented: “It really looks very aggressive. This is something that was part of my dreams; I really trust the team and the new car.”
