Toro Rosso has launched the STR7 in the pit lane of Circuito do Jerez in Spain. Drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne revealed the car to the media. The design of the nose has been seen before on the other F1 cars, but the STR7 does have the innovative double floor concept which has been carried on from last year’s car.
Team Principal Franz Tost has expressed his confidence in his team, saying: “I hope that we have designed a good car and I am convinced we have two good drivers. I am also convinced that we will have a successful season.”
“In terms of resources, as far as I can estimate and in comparison to the other teams, we are in the good midfield. I expect that we are in seventh position and this is also the position I expect to reach in the Constructors’ Championship.”
